Tips For Creating A Great Juice Bar Menu

Fresh pressed juice has become quite common in recent years. Not only is it delicious, but it can be healthy, which makes it a great choice for people to grab when they're out and about. Opening a fresh juice bar can therefore be quite profitable. However, you will want to be careful and thorough when planning your menu. Here are a few tips to help you create a menu that will really excite your clients.

Include both pre-planned and make-your-own juice options.

Some customers are going to want to order a juice that you have already planned as far as ingredients go. They may not have much experience crafting juices themselves, so they may not know what will taste good together. Or, they may be in a hurry and want to order by simply telling you which pre-planned juice they want. Other customers are going to want specific ingredients put in their juice. They may want certain ingredients for their specific health benefits, or others for their taste. Offering a make-your-own option satisfies these customers.

Stock both fruits and vegetables.

You may think of fruit juices as being the primary attraction at fresh juice bars. However, a lot of juice drinkers do prefer vegetable juices because they are lower in sugar and higher in certain nutrients, such as magnesium and folate. So, make sure you create a few juice mixes that contain veggies like spinach, carrots, and kale. Also, make sure you stock a good variety of veggies for your make-your-own juice option. Examples of veggies that make great juice include:

  • Beets
  • Parsnips
  • Romaine lettuce
  • Swiss Chard
  • Cucumber

Offer a couple of different snacks, but not too many.

If your goal is to run a juice bar, you don't need to include much food on your menu. People will not seek out your place for food; they'll be there for juice. However, including a couple of snacks on the menu is a good idea since some customers, upon ordering their juice, will realize they want a small snack, too. You could offer baggies of trail mix, pre-made sandwiches, yogurt parfaits, or even house-made granola bars. Healthy options typically sell well at juice bars.

Running a fresh pressed juice bar is a great business model. You need a few juicers, lots of produce, and a great menu. Follow the tips above, and you should have no trouble attracting plenty of customers.
